A closer look at your claim
Personal injury claims. One place to start.
Personal injury claims after roadway crashes
Car and truck wrecks, motorcycle crashes, rideshare collisions and injuries to people walking or riding bicycles can raise different evidence and insurance questions. Tell us who was involved and how the collision unfolded.
Personal injury claims involving unsafe property
A fall or another injury involving a property condition needs more than a photograph of the aftermath. The hazard, control of the property, the duty owed and what the responsible party knew may all matter.
Personal injury claims involving care and serious harm
Nursing home concerns require attention to the resident’s safety, care records and potentially special health care liability rules. Serious injury and wrongful death matters also call for a careful review of long-term needs and who may act. Moreover, a Houston personal injury lawyer can advise you throughout these complex claims.

Personal injury evidence. A clear explanation.
An injury alone does not establish legal responsibility. A review asks what happened, what duty applied, how the conduct or condition contributed to the harm, and what the evidence supports. A police report, incident report or agency finding may help, but each has its own purpose and limits. Give an accurate account, including details that may be disputed. For legal questions, consulting a Houston personal injury lawyer can be helpful.
Possible compensation depends on the claim and proof. Medical expenses, lost income, reduced earning ability and the impact on daily life may be relevant. Future needs require support, and special rules can limit some claims. Before you sign a release, understand which claims it resolves and what remains uncertain. No result on this website predicts another person’s recovery. Always discuss concerns with a Houston personal injury lawyer.
Questions with Korey The Lawyer
Personal injury questions.
Let’s talk about them.
Personal Injury. Start here, then tell me what happened.
What personal injury cases does The Huff Law Firm handle?
We handle car and commercial-vehicle collisions, motorcycle and rideshare accidents, pedestrian and bicycle injuries, premises liability, nursing home neglect concerns, serious injuries and wrongful death claims. Tell us the circumstances so we can discuss whether the matter fits the firm’s services. Our Houston personal injury lawyer team can help evaluate your case.
How do I know whether an injury gives me a legal claim?
The review needs to address responsibility, causation and legally recoverable harm. The rules depend on the type of event and parties involved. You do not have to label the legal issue before calling. Explain what happened and bring any records you already have.
Do I need to finish medical treatment before calling?
No. You can ask about evidence, documents and deadlines while treatment continues. Your treating providers should guide medical decisions. Tell us what they have recommended and what remains uncertain, without guessing about the care you may need later. Moreover, a Houston personal injury lawyer can answer questions even before treatment is finished.
How long do I have to take legal action in Texas?
Many Texas personal injury lawsuits have a two-year limitations period after a claim accrues, but that is not a universal deadline. Government notice rules, health care liability claims and other exceptions need separate review. A pending insurance discussion does not establish that your deadline is protected.
What if someone says I was partly responsible?
Tell us the accusation and the facts that support or contradict it. Texas proportionate responsibility rules may reduce damages by your share of responsibility and can bar recovery when your responsibility exceeds 50%. The applicable rules and evidence must be reviewed for the particular claim.
Can I contact you for a family member?
Yes. You can begin with basic contact information and a brief explanation. Authority to access records, hire counsel or make decisions for another person is a separate question. Bring any relevant authorization or estate documents for review.
What should I ask before hiring a personal injury lawyer?
Ask who will handle your case, how you’ll stay in touch, and what the next steps may be. Your case review is free. If we accept your personal injury case and don’t recover money for you, you owe our firm no attorney fees and nothing for the case expenses we advanced. If we recover money, attorney fees and case expenses are handled according to your written agreement.
How much is my case worth?
A responsible evaluation requires the facts, medical picture, proof of losses, legal issues and available recovery sources. A diagnosis or a past settlement does not produce a reliable number by itself. Ask what supports the evaluation and which questions still need answers.
Does filing a complaint replace an injury lawsuit?
No. An incident report, insurance claim or regulatory complaint serves a different purpose from filing a civil lawsuit. In particular, a nursing facility complaint should not be assumed to pause legal deadlines. Get advice about the process that applies to your matter.
